This Privacy Policy governs your use of the software application Remote for Roku Wifi ("Application") for mobile devices. The Application is a remote control tool for Roku streaming players and Roku TVs.

  • Local Network Access: The Application requires access to your local Wi-Fi network to discover and communicate with your Roku device. This communication happens strictly between your phone and your Roku device. No data regarding your network configuration, IP addresses, or device identifiers is transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
  • Keyboard Input: Any text entered through the Application's keyboard feature is sent directly to your Roku device for the purpose of on-screen input (e.g., searching for movies). This text is never logged, stored, or shared.

3. Third-Party Advertising

This Application uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To provide relevant ads, Google may collect and use non-personal data, such as your device's Advertising ID. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Android device settings: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization.

4. Permissions

To provide its core functionality, the Application requires the following permissions:

  • Internet & Wi-Fi State: To allow the app to discover and send commands to your Roku TV over your home network.
  • Vibration: To provide haptic feedback when you press buttons on the remote.
